How to root Infinix Hot 2 X510 LTE version

how to flash CWM and Root Infiinx Hot 2 X510 LTE variant

You can imagine our surprise when we found out that there is an LTE version of the Infinix Hot 2 X510. Our members from Morocco had been having a really hard time rooting their Infinix X510 LTE variant (It appears to be exclusive to Morocco) and since this site has been porting TWRP & CWM to Mediatek devices running on Lollipop and Marshmallow to make rooting possible, we decided to add the Infinix X510 LTE variant to the list.

How to disable automatic downloads of OTA updates on a Mediatek Android phone

It feels good to get Over The Air (OTA) updates but the sour part is the OTA update(s) getting automatically downloaded. First off, there are times you might be low on data and not be able to afford about 1GB going to an OTA update you don’t need urgently. There’s also the possibility that its a buggy update which the user community had openly criticized and you have little interest in. In either case, it only makes sense that you be able to choose to download the update or not. This brief guide will explain how to pull this off.

How do I stop my Mediatek Android phone from Automatically downloading OTA updates?

Google Play Services is the app in charge of OTA updates. Disabling or freezing it could cause other apps / processes to malfunction so you best disable only its System Update Service. To do this:
1. Root the phone
2. Install Disable Service from Goole Play Store
3. Launch the app

disable automatic ota updates

4. Tap the System tab

stop OTA updates from downloading and installing on its own

5. Scroll down to Google Play Services and tap it

stop google play service ota download

6. You should see a list of Google Play Services. Scroll down to SystemUpdateService

7. Tap SystemUpdateService and wait

Upgrade Infinix Note 2 X600 to Android 6 (Marshmallow)

It is no longer news that Android 6 (Marshmallow) has come to the Infinix Note 2 X600 Over The Air (OTA). This is coming just about two months after the Infinix Hot 2 X510 received the Marshmallow update. This brief guide will explain how to correctly upgrade your Infinix X600 to Marshmallow because you’ll hate yourself if you get it wrong with the X600.

What should I know before upgrading my Infinix Note 2 X600 to Android 6?

It is important you know your phone’s build number. To know this, Navigate to Settings > About > Build number. Yours should be H532 A1, H533 A1 or H533 B1. It is important you flash firmware ONLY for your build. Flashing a firmware for another build to your phone will cause it to go totally dead and the only way to revive your phone would be to loosen it down to the MotherBoard then make a jumper as instructed in the guide at https://forum.hovatek.com/thread-11899.html . This procedure is a bit technical so to avoid having to go through this, stick to firmware for your Infinix X600’s build.

How do I upgrade / update the Infinix Note 2 X600 to Marshmallow?

There are two formats of the Marshmallow update:
  1. Tcard / SDcard / OTA format
  2. SP flash tool format
How to upgrade Infinix X600 to Marshmallow using the Tcard / SDcard / OTA firmware format
  • If the phone has been rooted, unroot by flashing the firmware at https://forum.hovatek.com/thread-533.html using SP flash tool at https://forum.hovatek.com/thread-159html
  • Navigate to Settings > About > System updates.
  • Search for, download and install the OTA update
  • If no OTA update is available for your device then download the Tcard format at https://forum.hovatek.com/thread-12084.html and copy it to directly to the SD card (do not place it inside any folder)
  • You can then head back to System updates under Settings or boot into recovery mode using  https://forum.hovatek.com/thread-479.html then flash the zip file using the Install zip from SD card option.
  • Reboot the phone then confirm that it has been successfully upgraded to Marshmallow under Settings > About > Android version
How to upgrade Infinix X600 to Marshmallow using the SP flash tool firmware format
  • Install VCOM drivers on the PC using https://forum.hovatek.com/thread-440.html
  • Download the SP flash tool format of the Infinix Note 2 X600 Marshmallow update for your phone’s build at https://forum.hovatek.com/thread-12084.html
  • Switch off the phone then flash the firmware using the Firmware upgrade option in SP flash tool at https://forum.hovatek.com/thread-159.html
  • Boot up the phone then confirm that it has been successfully upgraded to Marshmallow under Settings > About > Android version

WARNING!!! FOR ALL MOTORS ON NEW OLUBADAN DAY

Oyo State declares Friday as Public holiday in honour of Oba Saliu Adetunji as Ibadan Market to be closed for Olubadan coronation tomorrow!!! The Oyo State Market Leaders Advisory Council has directed that all markets in the eleven Local Government Areas of Ibadanland be shut on Friday in honour of the coronation ceremony of Adetunji. A statement by the Acting President of the Council, Alhaja Mopelade Iyadunni, said that the closure of the markets became imperative to accord due honour to the foremost monarch, who succeeds Oba Samuel Odulana Odugade I. The late monarch had joined his ancestors on January 19.The advisory council is the umbrella body State traders’ associations across the state, comprising Oyo State Market Men and Women Association, Ibadan Joint Traders Association, Food and Canteen Workers’ Association, Association of Trades men and Artisans, as well as the Nigeria Youth Traders Action Council, among others. The statement also called on members of all affiliate associations to join the state government, the Adetunji family, the Olubadan-in-Council, as well as citizens of Ibadan to celebrate the new Oba on Friday at the Mapo Hall arcade. In a related development, the governor has approved the conversion of the access road passing through the private residence of the Olubadan designate at Popoyemoja, which will also serves as his palace, to a one way. The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works and Transport, Mr. Oyesola Oyedele, conveyed the governor’s decision at a separate press briefing,on Thursday. He said that the decision became necessary to forestall the perennial logjam associated with the area, considering the expected heavy volume of traffic in the area on Friday and subsequently. Oyedele explained that traffic had been diverted to the adjourning roads, where he said adequate road signs had been mounted, adding that Vehicle Inspection Officers and officials of the Oyo State Traffic Management Authority would be on hand to guide motorists accordingly. The PS urged motorists to take note of the new directive, warning that errant drivers would be sanctioned!!!

CONGRATS TO ALL GLO NETWORK USER'S!!!

Glo sponsors Olubadan coronation activities!!! GLOBACOM has been announced as the sponsor of activities lined up for the coronation of the new Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Adetunji, who would be publicly crowned on Friday. While expressing happiness that Globacom had taken up the sponsorship of the epoch making occasion, the Chairman, Olubadan Coronation Reception planning Committee, Professor Taoheed Adedoja, enthused that the company had again displayed its unalloyed commitment to the common good of the nation. “We are delighted that Dr Mike Adenuga has not forgotten his foundation which was laid in Ibadanland where he lived and schooled before he became an international brand. We appreciate his sense of belonging to the city of Ibadan and the tenacity of purpose which has marked him out as a true Nigerian in word and deeds,” Adedoja quipped. The coronation is scheduled to hold at the Oja’Ba Square and will be graced by traditional rulers, prominent sons and daughters of Ibadanland, and captains of industry. High point of Globacom’s sponsorship is the royal banquet to be organised in honour of the new monarch with eminent sons and daughters of Ibadanland in attendance. The banquet will hold on Saturday, March 5, at the Ibadan Recreation Club.Speaking on its rational for sponsoring the coronation ceremony, Globacom said it remained proud of the cultural heritage of the Nigerian people from all the geo-political zones, adding that it was committed to promoting their cultures through robust support for celebrations of festivals and events with strong traditional values. The company also added that it felt proud to associate with the tradition of unity and stability which the Olubadan of Ibadanland’s stool symbolises. Oba Adetunji, who is the 41st Olubadan of Ibadanland, succeeds the late monarch, Oba Odulana Odugade who joined his ancestors last December at the age of 101!!!

THE LG PHONE EXPANSION

The LG G5 looks to be a phenomenal phone. It improves on its predecessors in many ways, or at least carries over a lot of what we loved about the LG G4 to an updated design. And LG is trying many new things, from a metal uni body design that still includes a removable battery to a dual-lens camera system. But the most unique feature is one that hearkens back to an earlier era of mobile computing: swappable expansion modules. (None of us would even be here if it weren't for Visor Central.)
There's just one problem: I don't think that the G5's modules are going to matter at all.
I'll give LG credit: they're always willing to try new things. The LG G2 moved the buttons onto the back; the G3 brought us laser auto focus, a QHD display and manual camera controls. And the G4 went crazy with a Quantum display, an extra-bright aperture and swappable leather backs.
With the G5, LG's trying more crazy things than ever before. But the craziest is without a doubt the swappable base. Pop off the bottom of the phone, slide it out with the battery, snap the battery off and attach it to a new module, and slide that whole bit back into the phone and boot back up. It's an opportunity to add new functionality to the phone without increasing the base price, as LG demonstrated with a camera controls plus extra battery module and another with improved audio chips.

Removing the bottom of the LG G5 to add on a new module and a Handspring Visor Pro with a OmniSky Minstrel S Wireless Modem Springboard module.
Almost immediately I was struck by the similarity with something from the early days of mobile computing: Handspring's Springboard expansion slot. Introduced in 1999, the Handspring Visor wasn't the first mobile device with an expansion slot, but the Palm OS PDA was certainly the most prominent such device (you know, relatively speaking). The Springboard modules added a range of functionality to compatible Handspring PDAs, including games, reference libraries like the medical dictionaries and language translators, device backup drives, cameras, MP3 players, cellular radios, GPS navigation, and RFID and barcode scanners. It was a diverse and vibrant little ecosystem with multiple third parties producing modules for the Springboard platform.
There's nowhere near as much need for physical attachments to add mobile device feaures as there was in 1999.
It's clear that LG wants something similar to happen with the G5's modules (which still, we should note, lack proper branding), but there's a huge difference between today's mobile device market and that of the turn of the century. For one, there's nowhere near as much need for expanding the functionality of smartphones with physical attachments like this as there was back then. Every reference library and game Springboard module is just an app these days. We've got excellent built-in cameras on every smartphone now (two of them on the G5, actually), built-in MP3 players and GPS and more than enough internal storage, and our smartphones have built-in wireless modems and radios now. Many of the other modules — gaming controls and scanners — have been replaced with universally-compatible Bluetooth devices.
The Springboard modules were also compatible with a number of devices: the Visor, Visor Deluxe, Visor Platinum, Visor Neo, and Visor Pro. The last Springboard-compatible device was the Visor Pro, released in 2001. The next year Handspring went all-in on the Treo line of smartphones and two years later was acquired by Palm.
We've seen no indication from LG that the expansion modules on the LG G5 will be compatible with any future device, and we'd frankly be surprised if they were. The Handspring Springboard worked because Visor handhelds were all roughly the same size and the expansion slots were all narrower than the entire PDA and slotted into the back. With the LG G5 you're removing the bottom of the phone and attaching a different bottom in its place.
The LG Hi-Fi Plus with B&O Play expansion module brings a dedicated digital-to-analog converter and amp for high-end 32-bit audio on the LG G5.
It's a more elegant solution thank the clunky Springboard, sure, but it's one that either limits future compatibility for modules purchased with the G5 or hamstrings LG's industrial design for future handsets in order to maintain compatibility. My money's on modules that work with the G5 only working with the G5, which is guaranteed to infuriate any G5 owner that invests in a module or two when the time to upgrade comes. It's one thing for a case to no longer be compatible, but when you've dropped who-knows-how-much these modules and they don't work with your next expensive smartphone, that's an issue. Everything else we use with our phones — speakers, chargers, robot toys, home security systems, etc — are by-and-large universally-compatible. I don't even expect modules purchased for the G5 to work with the eventual G6, and that's a problem.
LG said they're making more G5 modules and an API for anybody to make their own. But who will?
LG says that the CAM Plus camera controls module and Hi-Fi Plus dedicated DAC module are just the first two and that they both have more in development. And they'll release an API for other companies to make their own modules. But who will? And will LG subsidize the cost of manufacturing such a niche accessory?
Sure, the LG managed to sell nearly 60 million smartphones in 2015, but by all indications they've struggled to sell on the high end — how many G4 phones do you see on the street? There's nothing about the LG G5 that strikes me as particularly compelling next to its Android competition, and certainly they'll be buried yet again on the marketing front by the Samsung Galaxy S7. Who is going to develop these modules for LG, given the small addressable market and previously-mentioned future compatibility concerns?
Then there's the question of what modules are we going to see? What's the compelling use case going to be? It's certainly not the camera module — the extra bulky block on the base of the phone with awkward physical controls will appeal to few. Maybe somebody will make a better version of it. The Bang & Olufsen co-developed Hi-Fi Plus module seems interesting, but as the many cheap Apple earbuds and overpriced Beats headphones you've no doubt seen wandering around in this world can attest, dramatically-better audio quality is not a pressing concern for most potential buyers. There's certainly interesting potential here — maybe a super-high-end camera module or an extended battery or a better speaker or physical gaming controls — but it's a tough sell.
The LG CAM Plus expansion module for the LG G5 adds 1100 mAh of additional battery and physical camera controls.
The LG G5 is LG at its most LG. They're throwing in everything — kitchen sink included — and hoping something will stick.
That sell could potentially become even harder when you factor in the price of these modules. Which is to say that we have no clue what the price will be. LG's Frank Lee (Director of Mobile Communications) told us that they're aiming to ensure that the modules will have a "reasonable" price, but that's still open to interpretation. Reasonable to what the average consumer will expect something like this to cost? Reasonable for the technology that has to go inside them? Reasonable for anybody to turn a profit on them? It's worth noting that there's a minimum level of technology that will be required in any of these modules — at a bare minimum they'll need to include a USB-C port, loud speaker (since LG opted to include that on the removable portion of the phone), mounts for the battery, and contacts to transfer data and power back-and-forth with the phone. Reasonable is in the eye of the beholder.
The LG G5 is LG at its most LG. They're being innovative and trying new things and throwing in everything — kitchen sink included — and hoping something sticks. The Galaxy S7 is Samsung at its most Apple; they've taken an already excellent smartphone and refined and improved almost every aspect of it. The LG G5's modules are a unique and innovative idea, but they're solving in a clunky manner for a problem that doesn't necessarily exist; in the process LG will either aggravate their customers or design themselves into a corner — or both.

HEALTHY EATING TIPS: 5

Despite what you may have been told, not all fats are unhealthy. While “bad” fats can increase your risk of certain diseases, “good” fats are essential to physical and emotional health. Foods rich in certain omega-3 fats, for example, can reduce your risk of cardiovascular disease, improve your mood, and help prevent dementia.
Good fats Monounsaturated fats from avocados, nuts (like almonds, hazelnuts, and pecans), and seeds (such as pumpkin and sesame). Polyunsaturated fats, including Omega-3s , found in fatty fish such as salmon, herring, mackerel, anchovies, sardines, and some cold water fish oil supplements.

Good vegetarian sources of polyunsaturated fats include flaxseed and walnuts. Bad fats Trans fats, found in processed foods, vegetable shortenings, margarines, crackers, candies, cookies, snack foods, fried foods, baked goods, or anything with “partially hydrogenated” oil in the ingredients, even if it claims to be trans-fat free.

The debate about saturated fats Saturated fats are mainly found in tropical oils, dairy, and animal products such as red meat, while poultry and fish also contain some saturated fat. Eating saturated fats won’t lower your risk of heart disease like onounsaturated or polyunsaturated fats, but the latest studies suggest that not all saturated fat is a dietary demon, either.

While many prominent health organizations maintain that eating saturated fat from any source increases the risk of heart disease and stroke, other nutrition experts take a different view. In fact, recent evidence suggests that consuming whole-fat dairy may even have beneficial effects by helping to control weight. Of course, not all saturated fat is the same.

The saturated fat in whole milk, coconut oil, or salmon is different to the unhealthy saturated fat found in pizza, French fries, and processed meat products (such as ham, sausage, hot dogs, salami, and other cold cuts) which have been linked to coronary disease and cancer.

HEALTHY EATING TIPS: 4

Fruits and vegetables are low in calories and nutrient dense, which means they are packed with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and fiber. Focus on eating the recommended daily minimum of five servings of fruit and vegetables and it will naturally fill you up and help you cut back on unhealthy foods. A serving is half a cup of raw fruit or veg or a small apple or banana, for example. Most of us need to double the amount we currently eat.

Try to eat a rainbow of fruits and vegetables every day as deeply colored fruits and vegetables contain higher concentrations of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Add berries to breakfast cereals, eat fruit for dessert, and snack on vegetables such as carrots, snow peas, or cherry tomatoes instead of processed snack foods. Greens. Branch out beyond lettuce. Kale, mustard greens, broccoli, and Chinese cabbage are all packed with calcium, magnesium, iron, potassium, zinc, and vitamins A, C, E, and K.

Sweet vegetables.
  •  Naturally sweet vegetables: such as corn, carrots, beets, sweet potatoes, yams, onions, and squash add healthy sweetness to your meals and reduce your cravings for added sugars.
  • Fruit: Fruit is a tasty, satisfying way to fill up on fiber, vitamins, and antioxidants. Berries are cancer-fighting, apples provide fiber, oranges and mangos offer vitamin C, and so on.

HEALTHY TIP:3

Aside from portion size, perhaps the single biggest problem with the modern Western diet is the amount of added sugar in our food.

As well as creating weight problems, too much sugar causes energy spikes and has been linked to diabetes, depression, and even an increase in suicidal behaviors in young people.

Reducing the amount of candy and desserts you eat is only part of the solution as sugar is also hidden in foods such as bread, cereals, canned soups and vegetables, pasta sauce, margarine, instant mashed potatoes, frozen dinners, low-fat  meals, fast food, and ketchup.

Your body gets all it needs from sugar naturally occurring in food so all this added sugar just means a lot of empty calories. Tips for cutting down on sugar Slowly reduce the sugar in your diet a little at a time to give your taste buds time to adjust and wean yourself off the craving. Avoid sugary drinks. Try drinking sparkling water with a splash of fruit juice instead.

Don’t replace saturated fat with sugar . Many of us make the mistake of replacing healthy sources of saturated fat, such as whole milk dairy, with refined carbs or sugary foods, thinking we’re making a healthier choice. Low-fat doesn’t necessarily mean healthy, especially when the fat has been replaced by added sugar to make up for loss of taste.

Avoid processed or packaged foods like canned soups, frozen dinners, or low-fat meals that often contain hidden sugar that quickly surpasses the recommended limit. Be careful when eating out. Most gravy, dressings and sauces are also packed with salt and sugar, so ask for it to be served on the side.

Eat healthier snacks. Cut down on sweet snacks such as candy, chocolate, and cakes. Instead, eat naturally sweet food such as fruit, peppers, or natural peanut butter to satisfy your sweet tooth. Check labels and choose low-sugar products.
